The designated territory for this position is Atlanta, Georgia). The Regional Admissions Counselor conducts programmatic and individual activities while functioning as part of the larger UAH Admissions and Recruitment team. The Regional Admissions Counselor also serves as a liaison and resource for numerous constituents, including guidance and career counselors, educators and administrators, prospective students and families, regional colleagues, community-based organizations, regional recruitment and professional organizations, alumni and parents, and campus-based staff and partners. The specific duties are as follows, and secondary responsibilities in support of the regional recruitment model and campus-based recruitment office will be assigned as needed. The candidate is required to live within the market as defined and approved by their direct supervisor.Duties/Responsibilities• Manage a recruitment territory of incoming first-year students. • Travel to recruitment territories as needed approximately 10-15 weeks throughout the year. • Communicate with incoming students, parents, and school counselors through multiple platforms, including a recruitment CRM. Attend high school visits, college fairs, and other off campus recruitment activities on behalf of the university.• Develop and cultivate relationships with prospective students at all points in the admissions funnel through telephone, email, texting, in-person and writing communication. • Answer telephone, email and other inquiries and provide information to students, their families and school counselors. • Follow up, track and communicate with prospective students and assist them from prospect through enrollment.• Develop and implement territory management plans for assigned geographic territory. Assist with the development and implementation of recruitment strategies of students from targeted areas.• Plan and host recruitment events for prospective students, their parents, and school counselors.• Represent the Office of Admissions at on-campus recruitment events including preview days, open house events, admitted student events, and new student orientation.• Utilize the recruitment CRM to manage student data and reports.• Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Recruitment or Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
